la wildfire RELIEF
Wildfires are causing mass disruption and destruction across all of LA. This page is dedicated to supporting members of the GAA and adjacent communities in the Los Angeles area who’ve been been displaced or lost homes and businesses due to the ongoing wildfires. The fire departments, Irish Community and Irish Consulate are doing incredible work to support our community but any amount, no matter how small will be donated and make a huge difference to peoples lives over the coming weeks.

Andrew and Renata
Our dear friends Renata and Andrew have faced an unimaginable loss. The recent Los Angeles wildfires destroyed their home, their beloved floral studio, and nearly everything they’ve worked so hard to build. Despite this devastation, they are safe, along with their three pups—but they need our help to recover and rebuild.
Renata and Andrew moved into their first home in Altadena just two years ago, pouring their hearts into creating a life and a business together. Renata’s floral artistry has brightened countless weddings, events, and celebrations, spreading beauty and joy to so many. Andrew has been her steadfast partner in life and work, supporting every step of their journey. Together, they built their floral studio from the ground up—a testament to their creativity, dedication, and love.
The loss of their home and studio is not just material—it’s a loss of dreams, memories, and countless hours of hard work. We’re asking for your support to help them rebuild their lives. No amount is too small—every dollar, every share, and every kind word will make a difference.
Thank you for helping them find hope and strength as they rebuild.
LAUREN AND CARL
Tragically Lauren and Carl their home and community Tahitian Terrace mobile home park in Pacific Palisades, CA has completely burned down. I met Lauren working at a hair salon in Pacific Palisades in 2015. Naturally, Carl has become one of my closest friends and I am Auntie to little Ruby. Lauren and Carl have lived in the Palisades for 17 years and a life long family lineage there. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
NESSA AND FAMILY
Hi, I’m Nessa. I’m raising funds for my family we live in Southern California. A devastating California fire, “The Airport Fire,” left us homeless and destroyed my place of work. Four months later, we’re still displaced and trying to rebuild our lives. The fire burnt 23,526 acres, and we were one of 160 homes and businesses lost in the fire. There wasn’t FEMA or widespread media coverage, leaving us with little support. We’ve been doing everything we can to get by. Right now, we’ve had to put our two 11-year-old dogs into foster care, and we’re living in a homeless shelter.
I’m an Irish immigrant. Along with my daughter and son, we’re working hard to support each other. my son is in community college, staying focused on school despite everything and keeping my GPA up. We’re a close-knit family who are football and MMA fanatics! We’ve been pushing through, keeping each other positive, but we’re facing the reality that we are completely starting over. It won’t be overnight and will probably take years before life feels “normal” again. But we’re grateful we made it out safe and have each other.
We’re reaching out for support to help us get back on our feet. Any contribution will go a long way in helping us rebuild our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Funds will help cover essential expenses, including rehousing, transportation, medical costs, and furniture.
Joelle from dublin
Sophie and Joelle’s beautiful home and car have been burned down by the Eaton Canyon fire. The catastrophic fires all across Los Angeles have been extremely devastating and on Wednesday, January 8th Sophie and Joelle learned their beautiful home completely burned down along with their car. Sophie and Joelle safely evacuated with their cat Mars and dog Poppy. As you can imagine no one is ever prepared for this kind of loss and they are currently residing with Joelle’s sister. During this devastating and traumatic loss our dear friends need community now more than ever as they work to relocate and purchase necessary items for themselves and their animals. They will be navigating all the legal, emotional, and financial aspects of this and any amount of donation helps.
If you have had the pleasure of having these two women as a part of your life then you know how much they give and love those around them. All funds will go directly to their efforts in relocating and buying the essentials.
Thank you for your support.
wild records recording
Since the year 2000 Reb Kennedy has touched the lives of thousands of people in Southern California and around the world through his record label Wild Records. He has been directly responsible for the recording and promotion of music that took many young people on travels and adventures around the world. Just two days ago Reb and his family lost their home in the Eaton Fire as well as Wild Records headquarters, thousands of pieces of irreplaceable personal items and a recording studio Reb had been working on for over 20 years.
Reb is not someone who has ever shown desperation personally or financially and we know that he would be okay if nobody came to his aid today. However, due to the nature of insurance we all know Reb’s lifetime work will not be replaced nearly accurately or completely. There is no price you can put on hundreds of master tapes on ¼ tape recorded live in studio. There is no price you can put on 5000 vinyl records collected over a lifetime many of which are nearly one of a kind at this point in history. There is no price you can accurately put on the instruments, stand-up basses, piano, vintage cars, vintage clothes, art and the several metric tons of beautiful memories that happened at 155 W. Mendocino in Altadena, CA.
Antinori Family
Our dear friends Giorgi, Leo and their little girl lost their home and belongings in the Pacific Palisades fire. Governor Gavin Newsom and President Biden have declared a state of emergency, but at this time have not released funds to victims of this devastating fire. We are grateful their family was able to evacuate in time, grabbing only a few things, however everything else they owned was a complete loss including their firstborn daughter's ashes. This was their first home together as a family and the devastation is unimaginable. Their home and contents were not insured due to the financial difficulties and pressures Covid shut downs put on their small recording studio business, so they will be starting all over. Your generosity will be not only a financial building block for this new beginning, but an emotional blessing.
We ask all of our friends, family, community and even strangers to please come together and help in any way that you can. Any contribution is appreciated in helping them support their family during this difficult time. The family would be grateful for your prayers as they navigate the days to come.
THE MURPHY FAMILY
Hi friends. A dear ex-pat Irish family that Nick and Vicki Murphy have known since we emigrated from Europe to Los Angeles in 2014 has suffered an unimaginable loss. On January 7th, a devastating fire in Pacific Palisades destroyed their apartment, taking all their belongings and, heartbreakingly, their beloved cat. They escaped with only the clothes on their backs.
They had lived in this community for over 10 years, raising their three teenage children, one of whom is autistic. Not only have they lost all their belongings, their home and their children’s school but also the neighborhood they had become a part of over the past decade.
We are heartbroken for them and are reaching out to rally support. They need immediate help to cover temporary accommodation, food, clothing and replace essentials while they determine their next steps. If you’re able, please contribute to this GoFundMe to provide some relief to them during this incredibly challenging time. Every bit helps and will mean the world to this family as they rebuild their lives.
The o’hara family
Our dear family Fiona, Rey and Catherine lost their house in Altadena and have lost everything in the recent Eaton fire. We have set up this go fund me to help them get back on their feet and purchase some emergency needs. We appreciate any help and in lieu of a donation any virtual hugs and love are welcome!
jamie
Over the last two years, Jamie has been coming to terms with the loss of his life partner, surrounded by memories they made together in their new home and in LA. He found solace in mountain hikes and riding a motorcycle to help clear his mind. (Both Mary and Jamie were keen hikers and explorers, their love of the mountains going hand in hand with their love of living in LA.)
In the last week after quickly evacuating, Jamie returned to his home, to find it in complete ruins. Nothing could be recovered. All his memories, cherished items including Mary's belongings - gone. A lifetime of memories and possessions, gone in the space of a few hours.
If you're reading this, it's likely because I have circulated it or someone I know has. You may even know Jamie. If you do, you'll agree with what comes next. If you don't, know this - Jamie is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off of his back. Kind, caring, funny, full of life and a good friend. They say you don't choose family, you choose your friends. Jamie is one of those people everyone chooses to have as a friend and those who are family, like me, call him friend and are blessed and proud to call him brother.
the kelly family
The Kelly Family lost their home and belongings in the Eaton Fire. They have two kids (a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy) and have a baby coming in a matter of weeks. Please help in any way you can.
